Signing In and Two-Factor Authentication

Sara demonstrates a two-step sign-in using a phone and laptop with security symbols.

SARA asks you to verify your identity after your password is accepted. Have access to the authentication method registered for your account before you start.

Step 1: Enter your account details

Open the SARA sign-in page, enter your email address and password, and select Log in. Use the account assigned to you. If you need an account, use the available account options or contact your organisation’s administrator.

Step 2: Set up two-factor authentication if prompted

At Choose your 2FA method, select an available method and choose Confirm 2FA. Follow the instructions for that method.

  • For Microsoft Authenticator setup, scan the displayed QR code in the authenticator app, or enter its setup key manually. Enter the six-digit code and select Enable two-factor authentication.

  • If Email is offered and selected, enter the code sent to the account’s email address.

Do not share the QR code, setup key or one-time code. They are part of your account security.

Step 3: Verify an existing method

Enter the current six-digit authentication code and select Verify code. If a code expires, use a fresh code. Use Use a different account if you started with the wrong email address.

Forgotten password or lost authenticator

Select Forgot password? on the sign-in screen for password recovery.

If you no longer have access to the registered authenticator, select Reset my 2FA from the code-entry screen. Enter the requested account details and reason, then select Request 2FA reset. Approval is required. Wait for the approval email and follow the supplied instructions before returning to normal sign-in.

Check the account and sign out

After signing in, Me → Security shows the signed-in account and displayed access level. Select Sign Out when finished on a shared device. If sign-in still fails, contact your administrator without including your password or authentication code.
