Enable 2 Factor Authentication (2FA)
As part of an increase in cyber security protection, we are rolling out 2 Factor Authentication for all iC2 Accounts, using QR Codes. From Monday 4th July 2022, when you next log in to iC2, you will be prompted to actviate your 2FA.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), also known as Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), is a method of authorising a login using two pieces of authentication. The two pieces are usually defined as something the user has, and something the user knows.
2-factor authentication can help keep your account secure, even if someone steals your password.
How to Add 2FA to your account:
Once you activate 2FA on your account, this will take affect from your next login.
Download a time-based 2-factor authentication generator app on your mobile. You can use Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy or 1Password.
Go to your Authentication app and select +.
Select the account type.
Scan the QR code from iC2. Once added, you will see a 6-digit code in your Authenticator app.
On the login page, add this 6-digit code to Enter your passcode. You will see your recovery code.
The next time you log in, you will need to have your mobile available to enter the 2FA code.
